Jacky Niven - Chair and Founder of SABAB
I was a child of the 60’s and grew up in Manchester. In the 80’s I enjoyed success working as a commercial illustrator and undertaking commissions for portrait work.
A career change in 1992 led me to leave Manchester for Scotland where the abundant and glorious wildlife has proven to be my inspiration.
A full-time Artist, I have been producing works inspired by the local Wildlife, Agriculture & Landscape. My works have sold locally and throughout the UK and overseas. Working mainly in oils, my style is a modern take on impressionism and abstracts capturing the every changing mood of the climate and her surroundings.
A change in mood and direction in 2009 has taken me on a different journey with bolder, abstract pieces.
